Qatar’s Met Department has predicted the possibility of scattered rain in the country this coming weekend.
The Met Department said preliminary indications were conducive for rains in the country, according to Gulf Times.
Blowing dust and northwesterly wind conditions that prevailed during last weekend had led many to conclude that the winter was over for Qatar.
Last month, MET had quashed rumours spreading on social media about heavy rain and had tweeted to clarify that there was no such forecast from them.
Meanwhile, the Met Department in its daily weather report said the weather today will be ‘slightly dusty to dusty’ at times and mild day time with some clouds, according to The Peninsula.
Strong winds and high seas are expected in offshore areas today along with slight dust and some clouds. The wind speed may go up to 25 knots in these areas, with the sea level rising to 9ft.
Inshore, it will be hazy in the early hours of the day, followed by mild daytime conditions with slight dust at times, scattered clouds and a cold night. The temperature in Doha is expected to range from 17C to 25C today.
