If you are venturing out this weekend, it would be wise to carry some rain gear in your car as Qatar’s Met Department has predicted rains starting today until the end of next week.
The wet condition is due to a spell of ‘unsettled weather,’ according to the Qatar Met department, reported Gulf Times.
A state of atmospheric instability is expected to affect the country due to the extension of a low pressure system over the region with partly cloudy to cloudy skies forecasted to prevail between Thursday until the end of next week. There are also chances of scattered light to moderate rain on Thursday and Friday, reported The Peninsula.
The chances of rain are expected to further improve on Saturday and Sunday as conditions become favourable for thunder showers in some areas. It may also be accompanied by strong dust winds at times, especially on Sunday, according to Qatar Tribune.
The department added that preliminary medium range forecasts suggest weak chances of rain on Monday with unsettled rainy weather conditions expected to resume again from Tuesday until the end of next week.
